TORONTO (AP) — Defender Carlos Salcedo is leaving Main League Soccer’s Toronto.

Toronto stated Tuesday it terminated his contract by mutual consent. Coach Bob Bradley stated the 28-year-old Mexican was coping with a household matter. Salcedo has been touring again to Mexico, the place his spouse gave delivery final month to their second little one.

“We’d wish to thank Carlos for his efforts throughout a tough time,” Toronto president Invoice Manning stated in a press release. “Ultimately, Carlos felt it was most vital to return to Mexico to be along with his spouse and youngsters. We absolutely help Carlos’ choice and want him the very best sooner or later.”

Toronto acquired Salcedo from Mexico’s Tigres in January. He has made 48 worldwide appearances and was a part of El Tri’s 2018 World Cup roster.
