Democrats name Schiff and Swalwell to Intelligence committee despite McCarthy

WASHINGTON — Democratic Chief Hakeem Jeffries on Monday tapped Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell to proceed serving on the Home Intelligence Committee, teeing up a long-anticipated combat with Speaker Kevin McCarthy who has vowed to dam the pair from retaining their seats on the highly effective panel.
