It’s not daily you get the possibility to steal a significant league base. For six-year-old Oliver Richard, it was a possibility he couldn’t cross up.
The Houston Astros “legend” – a title given to Richard by his favourite workforce – went viral for his theatrics throughout a break in between innings of Tuesday evening’s sport at Minute Maid Park.
Whereas taking part in a steal the bottom problem, by which a younger fan sprints to a dummy base and runs it again, Richard set his eyes on the true prize and rushed towards second base. After making an attempt to wrangle the bottom out of the filth for 20 seconds – even turning to Astros second baseman Jose Altuve and shortstop Mauricio Dubón for assist – Richard was redirected to the end line in proper area. As soon as there, the younger boy was greeted by the roar of the gang and several other excessive fives from fellow Houston followers.

Richard’s father couldn’t be happier.
