Two disgruntled, big-name level guards might quickly be switching coasts.

The Brooklyn Nets. and Los Angeles Lakers are actively engaged in discussions on a commerce package deal that may ship Russell Westbrook to Brooklyn in trade for Kyrie Irving, according to a Yahoo Sports report.

However, there are hurdles either side must overcome earlier than any deal may be struck.

The Nets are in search of draft compensation and, in response to the Yahoo Sports activities report, need the Lakers to take 30-year-old Joe Harris and his remaining $38.6 million — owed over the following two years — within the deal. The Lakers, in response to the report, don’t appear inclined so as to add Harris to the deal and are as an alternative looking for Seth Curry as a part of any settlement.

The 31-year-old Curry, the brother of Warriors star Stephen Curry, is on an expiring $8.5 million deal.
