Rainfall and flood information have tumbled throughout the Northern Rivers leaving its agricultural sector devastated and with a restoration that’s removed from over.

An absence of sunshine and repeated flooding has hampered efforts within the 10 weeks for the reason that area was first smashed in early March.

The winer outlook is bleak for livestock homeowners and crop growers who’re combating waterlogged pastures, paddocks and plantations.

Lismore-based vet Dr Bruno Ros stated predictions of a moist winter meant the worst was but to come back.

“We nonetheless have dire conditions on some farms the place cattle are in need of feed, they’re now chilly, standing in mud and producers are looking for agistment to ship them away,” Dr Ros stated.
